Basic Operating Instructions
1) Prep the Room
Before starting the treatment, take a few minutes to make sure everything is prepared for the best possible disinfection.
Remove plants, vegetables, and fruits.
Place medications that are sensitive to sunlight or UV behind a cupboard or glass enclosure.
Place phones, keyboards, handsets, computer mice and other objects in a manner that they will receive UVC light exposure.
2) Plug + Place
Place the unit centrally in the space.* Take the power cord and plug each end in. Make sure the switch above the power cord is switched on. You will hear the fan initiate.
Do not use electrical terminal strips
Use a 12 gauge or heavier power cord if using an extension cord.
Avoid the use of GFCI outlets
3) Secure the Room
To prevent others from being unintentionally exposed to UVC light, take a moment to make sure you have secured the area.
Install caution signage on all entry points to the room. Pay attention to entry doors that may be unlocked, unsupervised, and could allow someone to enter the room during the treatment.
Install barrier chains and signage on all doors and entry points.
4) Leave the Room
Remove yourself from the room to prevent eye and skin damage that can be caused by exposure to the light source.
Remove any pets from the room that are not in an enclosed glass case with a sealed cover.
Check all entry points again
Press “on” on your remote
*For larger spaces, you may need to place the unit in multiple locations for best results. For technical information on UVC doses, refer to our table below.

Best Practices
Move The Unit Around
We recommend that you move your unit to at least 2 positions within a room during the treatment process. This ensures that your space is disinfected thoroughly.
Expose Surfaces
Think of surfaces that might naturally be covered and expose them. Some good examples would be drawers, cabinets, or phones. This allows UVC light to disinfect inside these spaces too.
Cover Organic Material
A UVC disinfection treatment will cause plants to brown. Be sure to cover all organic materials or remove them from the space prior to treating the area.

Health Precautions
UVC disinfection emits strong ultraviolet rays. To stay safe, we recommend removing the following items from a space prior to each treatment.
